Miranda Garcia-Dove Receives Prestigious Truman Scholarship

Alexandra and Bill Dove spent over 50 years carrying out research at the McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research. In addition to their scientific accomplishments, they leave behind a legacy of outreach and connection. Now Bill and Alexandra’s granddaughter, Miranda Garcia-Dove, a junior at UW-Madison, is continuing their commitment to bringing people together from diverse backgrounds and experiences for meaningful discussion and collaboration. Garcia-Dove, however, is focusing her studies on political science. She was recently named a 2026 Truman Scholar. Congratulations Miranda!
