Biography

My research investigates the molecular mechanisms of genetic and environmentally related diseases with the goal of translating basic science discoveries into precision therapeutics. We employ synthetic biology and gene editing methods to design novel alleles to describe a gene’s function in vivo, create more robust animal models of human disease, and evaluate therapeutic approaches.
